JOHS Committee Review

JOHS Committee Review

Stronger Committees. Better Outcomes.

Even experienced, well-intentioned committees can benefit from a fresh perspective. Over time, meetings can become routine, discussions can lose focus, and the committee’s full potential can go unrealized. The JOHS Committee Review service is designed to change that.

An AWARE-NS Occupational Health and Safety Advisor joins your organization’s JOHS Committee meeting as an active participant – observing how the committee operates, facilitating discussion, and providing real-time guidance on best practices. The goal is not to evaluate or critique, but to help your committee work smarter, communicate more effectively, and make the most of every meeting.

Program Overview

What to Expect

Your AWARE-NS advisor will attend a scheduled committee meeting and provide support in areas such as agenda structure and facilitation, roles and responsibilities, hazard identification and follow-up processes, documentation and record-keeping practices, and strategies for driving accountability and engagement between meetings. Following the session, your advisor will be available to discuss observations and next steps – because the goal is lasting improvement, not a one-time visit.
